Ford & Slater Coventry has recently been appointed as the parts provider for the freight transport company, Slam Transport.

The ‘one-stop-shop’ model sees Ford & Slater offer a 24-hour supply of parts across Slam Transport’s entire fleet of trucks and trailers, supplied through a combination of Genuine DAF Parts and TRP all-makes parts. 

Mark Giles, Parts Business Development Manager at Ford & Slater Coventry, explains: “We’ve always had a great working relationship with Slam Transport regarding sales, so to tie in parts and become a ‘one-stop-shop’ for them made complete sense.”

Mark continues, “A lot of our customers tend to have mixed fleets, we’re very happy to be able to offer this solution to make supplying parts as efficient as possible.”

Slam Transport’s fleet is continuously growing and with over 200 vehicles and 400 trailers, it is important to minimise any vehicle downtime.

The Ford & Slater ‘one-stop-shop’ model gives access to an extensive supply of parts, for any make or model and at any time day or night. As Slam Transport operate 365 days a year, this is integral to help them provide their customers with their 24/7 transport and storage services.
