Jordan Conway has joined Ford & Slater as an Electric Vehicle Sales Executive, supporting our customers as they move towards electric HGVs. We caught up with Jordan to find out what brought him to the role and what he’ll be focusing on first!

What drew you to join Ford & Slater’s EV team?
The chance to be part of a team that is helping shape the future of the transport industry. Ford & Slater are leading the way in the electrification journey, and I wanted to help get more customers on that journey now.

What’s your role, and what will you focus on first?
My role is EV Sales Executive. I’ll be helping customers transition to electric HGVs, with an immediate focus on getting our fleet of demos into customers' hands and supporting operators with charging infrastructure and operational planning.

What’s one EV project or topic you’re most excited about right now?
The continued rollout of the DAF XB, XD ,and XF Electric. These vehicles are proving that electric isn’t just for city distribution and is ready for a wide range of applications.

When customers ask about eHGVs, what’s the biggest misconception you like to clear up?
Many customers still think electric HGVs can’t deliver the range or payload they need. In reality, some of our DAF Trucks can achieve up to 500 km on one charge. It’s not about compromise — it’s about understanding the options available!
