NEW DAF LF TRUCK FOR BLABY COUNCIL

NEW DAF LF TRUCK FOR BLABY COUNCIL

Blaby District Council has taken delivery of a brand-new 7.5T DAF LF truck from Ford & Slater Leicester.

The New LF joins a fleet of 45 trucks and vans, including three DAF LF refuse collectors previously purchased from Ford & Slater, and was ordered as part of continued fleet replenishment.

Blaby Service & Fleet Manager, Martin Bennett, explains, “We were looking to retire one of the older vehicles in our fleet. We decided on the DAF LF for its excellent capabilities and operational benefits, and for the fantastic service we continually receive from Ford & Slater.”

Martin Bennett continues, “I’ve been working with the Leicester dealership for the entirety of my career at the council and I can honestly say the trucks we order from Ford & Slater are great; the parts and bodyshop departments are equally fantastic and we are very happy with our new LF truck.”

The 18 plate LF had been built to Blaby Council’s own specification, which includes semi-automatic transmission, a fully interchangeable graphics body and striking purple livery.

The truck was put into service with Blaby District Council in October of last year, where it is being used as part of a bulky waste collection service.
